Kev’s Drum Kit Is Out!

Kev’s Drum Kit is finally out. And I have to say it’s been a blast getting here!

I started this one with a simple idea. A tight no nonsense rock drum kit that just feels good to play. Nothing overthought. Nothing over-processed. Just solid drums that sit in the mix.

But as we built it, it naturally grew into something more. Cinematic. Flexible. Great for scoring, hybrid cues, even experimental stuff if you want.

It begins as a tight rock drum kit and grows into a cinematic tool for scoring and hybrid cues. That line pretty much says it all.

Here’s what I love most. This kit gets you moving fast. I load it up just to mess around. And suddenly, I’ve got a groove. A pulse. Even the backbone of a cue.

Do you ever have that happen? Where a library just clicks?

We’ve put up a ton of videos and demos so you can see it in action. Rock grooves. Cinematic builds. Hybrid scoring ideas. Even some weird experimental stuff.

The demos aren’t about perfection. They’re about showing how easy it is to get ideas down.

Honestly, Kev’s Drum Kit has become one of my go-to tools for starting rhythmic ideas. Straight-up grooves. Cues that need momentum. Or just something to get the blood flowing. It works every time.

What’s Next: Impact Foundry

While Kev’s Drum Kit is out, we’re already working on the next library. Impact Foundry.

This one is a totally different beast.

It’s built around found percussion and raw, physical sound. Big metal hits. Water drums. Hand percussion. Me wandering around the studio hitting things I probably shouldn’t.

Then we take those recordings and turn them into big trailer hits, hybrid combos, pulses, and loops. Subtle tick-tocks. Full-on in-your-face impacts.

Impact Foundry is designed to hit hard. But it’s also built for scoring. Powerful and cinematic. Musical enough to serve the picture.

Kev’s Drum Kit and Impact Foundry kind of sit together nicely. One is about groove and feel. The other is about weight and scale. Both are about real performances, real energy, real sound you can drop into a cue and have it work.

So yeah. That’s what we’ve been up to.

If you haven’t checked out Kev’s Drum Kit yet, hop over to the demos. Watch some videos. Play around. Have fun. That’s really the point.

More soon.
